Monica Heckman has been in the Greenville, SC real estate market since 1980.

After working with her first clients, she quickly saw that the needs of homebuyers weren't being met within the existing seller-oriented system. And as more and more people have discovered the Greenville area, Monica realized that these newcomers would need an advocate who knows Greenville to help them choose the best neighborhoods, schools, and financing.


So in 1990 she opened her exclusive buyer's broker agency, Monica Heckman Buyers Only. (The office is in a beautiful old home across from the Poinsett Club in Greenville's historic Pettigru area.)

Monica was the first President of the South Carolina Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents. Since opening her company, she has shared her unique real estate expertise with hundreds of individuals and the listening public. For three years Monica hosted an informative (and amusing) local talk radio show on WFBC, fielding listeners' questions about residential real estate.

She has built the business on referrals from past clients, many of whom claim she makes home buying fun.

Monica is married and has three grown children. She lives with her husband, Jack, and dogs, Chloe and Penny, in upstate South Carolina. For fun, she loves morning walks, old movies and beach vacations. Last fall she discovered glue guns.
